Dolomite Baptist will celebrate their 125th Anniversary on Sunday, October 17. Services will begin at 10:30, and Dr. Dan Ireland will be their guest speaker. A luncheon will follow the morning worship. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration. Rev. Glen Edmonds is Interim Pastor.

Fairfield Highlands will hold an Appreciation Day for Rev. Harry Sims on October 3, 2010. There will be a fellowship following the evening worship which begins at 6:00pm. Bro. Harry has served in ministry 33 years! Rev. Ed Cruce is pastor.
Loveless Park will host "Pumpkin Patch at Shadow Lake" October 22-30. Monday-Thursday open 9am-2pm, open Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm, and 1-5pm, on Sunday. There will be Inflatables, Games & Story Time, Face Painting, Hay Ride, Train Ride, Build a Scarecrow, and Pick Out a Pumpkin. Shadow Lake is located at 6020 Old Huntsville Road in McCalla, off Exit 1 on I-459. Rev. Joel Frederick is pastor.

The Baptist Church at McAdory will have their 5th Anniversary Celebration and Homecoming on Sunday, September 12. Dr. Dewey Mayfield will be the guest speaker for the 11:00am service, followed by lunch on the Grounds. All former members of their three founding churches, Westside Baptist, First Baptist Bessemer, and South Highlands Baptist, are invited to come join in that day for the service, lunch and Open House. On display will be historical items from the three churches, along with a history of The Baptist Church at McAdory including photos from the first five years. Rev. Bill McCall is pastor.
